What Is Art Jamming Team Building?
Art jamming team building gives your team a creative outlet — painting on canvas, collaborating on a large mural, or working through guided art exercises led by a professional artist. It's a low-pressure, high-engagement activity that works for teams who want connection without competition.
At Get Out Events, we design structured art jamming programmes that go beyond "free painting" — our sessions are facilitated with team-based challenges, collaborative projects, and reflection exercises. Groups of 20 to 120 participants.
Art Jamming Formats
- Collaborative Mural — Each team paints one section of a large canvas. Sections are assembled at the end to reveal a unified artwork. The mural stays at your office as a lasting team memento.
- Team Canvas Challenge — Teams of 4–6 create themed paintings and present them to the group. Judges score on creativity, teamwork, and storytelling.
- Guided Art Workshop — A professional artist leads the group through a step-by-step painting tutorial. Everyone produces a finished piece. Great for relaxed team bonding.
- Art + Wine Evening — A more casual format combining guided painting with wine and canapes. Perfect for team appreciation events or year-end celebrations.
What to Expect: A Typical Art Jamming Session
- Setup & Welcome (15 min) — Participants arrive to pre-set easels, canvases, and paint palettes. Our facilitator briefs the group on the session format, safety, and creative brief for the day.
- Warm-Up Exercise (20 min) — A short guided activity loosens inhibitions — colour mixing, freeform strokes, or a quick group sketch challenge. Everyone discovers they can paint.
- Main Challenge (60–90 min) — Teams work through their assigned format: mural sections, themed canvases, or guided tutorial. Our artist circulates, offers tips, and keeps teams on track without hovering.
- Gallery Reveal (20 min) — Completed works are displayed together. For the Collaborative Mural, the assembled canvas is revealed for the first time — a genuinely memorable moment. Teams present and share their creative stories.
- Awards & Wrap-Up (15 min) — Prizes for creativity, teamwork, and humour. Artworks packaged for transport or the mural prepped for office display.
Venue & Location Options

- Your office or boardroom — We bring all equipment and handle setup and cleanup. You need tables, chairs, and basic floor protection (which we provide).
- Hotel ballroom or function room — Ideal for off-site team retreats. We coordinate directly with venue AV and F&B teams.
- Dedicated art studios — We partner with fully-equipped studios across the CBD, Tanjong Pagar, and Bugis for groups that prefer a creative venue.

Art jamming scales comfortably because stations run in parallel — there's no bottleneck. Here's how we structure different group sizes:
- 20–40 pax — Single cohort, one artist facilitator, maximum interaction and personalised coaching. Best for leadership teams and bonding workshops.
- 40–80 pax — Two cohorts with two facilitators running simultaneously, or a large collaborative mural split into sections. Works well for department retreats.
- 80–120 pax — Full mural format with multiple large panels plus a competitive canvas challenge running alongside. Two or three facilitating artists, dedicated MC.
