What to Expect: The Escape Room Experience Step by Step

Here's how a typical corporate escape room event unfolds from arrival to wrap-up:

1. Team Briefing (15–20 min) — All participants gather for a themed mission briefing. Our lead facilitator introduces the storyline, the stakes, and the rules. Energy is high from the first minute.
2. Room Entry & Orientation (5 min) — Teams of 5–8 enter their assigned themed room. The game master delivers a final clue and the clock starts.
3. Puzzle Solving Phase (45–60 min) — Teams work through interconnected puzzles — cryptic codes, physical locks, hidden clues, and logic challenges. Game masters observe without interfering, offering structured hints at key moments.
4. Room Rotation (optional) — For multi-room formats, teams rotate after completing each room, competing on cumulative time and accuracy.
5. Finale & Leaderboard Reveal (15 min) — All teams reconvene. The live leaderboard reveals final standings. Winning teams are recognised.
6. Facilitated Debrief (20–30 min) — This is where the real value is unlocked. Facilitators lead a structured discussion: who led, who followed, where communication broke down, and what that means back at the office.

The full programme — from briefing to debrief — typically runs 2.5 to 3.5 hours. Half-day and full-day formats with additional activities are available.

Our escape room format scales cleanly across group sizes. Here's how we approach different configurations:

• 20–40 pax — 4 rooms running simultaneously, teams of 5–6. Intimate format with high engagement. Great for leadership teams, department offsites, and graduate cohorts.
• 40–80 pax — 6–8 rooms with teams of 6–8. Multiple facilitators, competitive leaderboard across all teams. The format where inter-team rivalry really starts to drive energy.
• 80–150 pax — 8–10 rooms with staggered start times. We typically run two concurrent "waves" to manage flow. The finale brings all teams together for a dramatic leaderboard reveal.
• 150–200 pax — Large-format custom production. Multiple storylines, team-vs-team finals, and a presenter-led closing ceremony. These events require a dedicated production manager and are priced accordingly.

No — we can set up at your existing office, your booked hotel ballroom, or a conference centre. We handle all setup and teardown. If you need venue recommendations, we can assist with that too.
