Why Build Your Own Instead of Using EventBrite or Google Forms?
The honest answer: we tried both, and neither solved the problem completely.
Google Forms is free but basic — no confirmation email with a QR code, no real-time check-in system, no attendance dashboard. Participants submit and you get a spreadsheet. That's not enough for a 400-person corporate conference.
EventBrite solves the registration side but charges per ticket (which adds up fast for corporate events where you're not selling tickets), isn't designed for private corporate events, and has a generic look that doesn't match your brand.
