When TRC entrusted GO Events to organise their Glitz & Glam-themed Dinner & Dance, we knew this was our chance to deliver an evening of unparalleled sophistication, energy, and style for approximately 150 to 200 guests at a premium hotel ballroom in Singapore.
TRC’s annual Dinner & Dance is a cornerstone of their company culture — a night where employees come together to celebrate the year’s achievements, connect outside the office, and look forward to the year ahead. For the 2024 edition, TRC wanted something truly special: a themed evening that would leave a lasting impression on every attendee.
The Brief — What TRC Needed
TRC approached GO Events with a clear set of objectives for their year-end celebration:
A show-stopping theme: The client wanted a theme that would inspire guests to dress up, feel special, and step into a world removed from the everyday. Glitz & Glam was selected for its universal appeal — it resonated across departments and seniority levels, encouraging full participation from the entire team.
Seamless guest management: With approximately 150 to 200 guests expected, TRC needed efficient RSVP tracking, dietary requirement management, and smooth on-site registration. They wanted the administrative side of the event to be invisible to guests — every attendee should simply arrive and enjoy.
High-quality entertainment and engagement: The evening needed to be more than dinner and speeches. TRC wanted a curated entertainment lineup, interactive elements, and activities that would keep energy levels high from arrival through to the last dance.
End-to-end event management: From concept development through to post-event wrap-up, TRC wanted a single partner to manage every aspect of the evening. They were looking for a corporate event organiser in Singapore that could handle creative, logistics, and production under one roof.
Our Approach — Crafting a Night of Glamour
The concept for TRC’s event centred on luxury and elegance. Inspired by shimmering metallics, bold geometric designs, and timeless sophistication, our creative team developed a gold and silver colour palette that would serve as the visual foundation for every element of the evening — from venue décor to stage design, table settings to lighting.
We approached the event as a complete sensory experience. Every touchpoint was designed to reinforce the Glitz & Glam theme: the entrance created a dramatic first impression, the ballroom sustained the atmosphere, and the entertainment programme built energy throughout the night. The goal was not just to decorate a space, but to transport guests into a world of glamour from the moment they arrived.
Our planning process began with a detailed event brief and concept presentation, followed by venue assessment, vendor coordination, and a comprehensive run sheet that mapped every minute of the evening. We conducted site visits to the hotel ballroom, developed lighting and AV plans tailored to the space, and coordinated with the venue’s banquet team on the dining experience.
Execution Highlights
A Grand Entrance That Set the Tone
From the moment guests arrived, they were greeted with an opulent entrance experience. A grand shimmering archway, adorned with draped fabrics and twinkling string lights, framed the entrance to the ballroom. The archway served as both a design statement and a natural photo opportunity — guests paused to capture the moment before stepping through into the transformed space.
The entrance design was intentional: it created a psychological transition between the everyday and the extraordinary. By the time guests passed through the archway and into the ballroom, they had already left the outside world behind and entered TRC’s private world of Glitz & Glam.
Venue Transformation — Gold, Silver, and Everything That Sparkles
The hotel ballroom was transformed into a dazzling wonderland. The gold and silver colour palette extended across every surface — from table runners and centrepieces to chair sashes and stage backdrops. Metallic accents caught the light at every angle, creating a shimmering atmosphere that shifted and sparkled as guests moved through the space.
Lighting played a crucial role in the transformation. Our production team designed a multi-layered lighting plan that combined warm ambient washes with focused spotlights and dynamic colour effects. The lighting shifted throughout the evening — warm and inviting during dinner, vibrant and energetic during the dance segments, and dramatic during awards and recognition moments.
Every detail was carefully planned to create a cohesive and immersive experience. From customised cocktails to elegantly styled place settings, no element was overlooked. The consistency of the theme across all touchpoints was what elevated the evening from a corporate dinner to a genuine Glitz & Glam experience.
Entertainment and Programme Flow
TRC’s Dinner & Dance was more than just an elegant evening — it was a sensory journey filled with entertainment, activities, and unforgettable moments. Our entertainment team curated a lineup that perfectly matched the Glitz & Glam theme, with performances that ranged from sophisticated to high-energy.
The programme was designed to maintain engagement throughout the evening, with carefully timed transitions between dining, entertainment, and interactive segments. A professional emcee anchored the programme, keeping the energy high and guiding guests smoothly through each segment — from the opening welcome through recognition moments to the finale.
Interactive elements were woven throughout the evening, including games, lucky draws, and themed activities that encouraged participation from every table. These moments of interaction were key to building the camaraderie and team spirit that make D&D events meaningful beyond the surface-level celebration.
AV Production and Stage Management
The AV setup was designed to deliver a polished, professional experience befitting the Glitz & Glam theme. Our production team managed the full audio-visual suite, including stage lighting, projection, sound system, and video content playback. Custom visual content, including animated graphics, themed transitions, and recognition reels — was displayed throughout the programme, adding a broadcast-quality polish to the evening.
Stage management was equally critical. With multiple programme segments — speeches, awards, performances, and interactive games — seamless transitions were essential. Our stage manager coordinated every cue, ensuring performers, speakers, and presenters moved on and off stage without delay, and that the programme flowed naturally from one segment to the next.
Guest Management and Pre-Event Coordination
GO Events managed the full guest journey from pre-event to post-event. We designed and distributed invitations integrated with QR codes for streamlined RSVPs, making it easy for guests to confirm attendance and submit dietary preferences in a single interaction. The QR system fed directly into our guest management database, giving us real-time visibility into confirmed numbers, dietary requirements, and seating preferences.
On the night itself, the registration process was designed to be seamless — guests checked in via their QR confirmation, received their table assignment, and moved directly into the ballroom. The entire process took seconds per guest, eliminating queues and ensuring the evening started on a positive, friction-free note.
Challenges and How We Overcame Them
Delivering a premium experience within budget: Glitz & Glam is an ambitious theme that can quickly escalate costs. Our design team worked strategically — using high-impact décor elements at key visual points (entrance, stage, table centrepieces) while using cost-effective solutions in areas where the lighting did the heavy lifting. The result was a ballroom that looked lavish without exceeding the client’s budget.
Managing diverse entertainment and programme elements: A D&D programme that includes dinner service, performances, awards, games, and dancing requires precise timing. We developed a minute-by-minute run sheet and conducted a full rehearsal with the venue and entertainment teams before guests arrived. This preparation ensured zero gaps in the programme flow and seamless transitions between segments.
Catering to diverse dietary needs: With approximately 150 to 200 guests, dietary requirements ranged across halal, vegetarian, and allergen-specific needs. We worked closely with the hotel’s banquet team to create a menu that was both inclusive and premium, with clearly labelled options and individually plated alternatives where required.

TRC’s Glitz & Glam Dinner & Dance was a standout success. The evening achieved everything the client set out to accomplish, and more:
