The Brief — What Google’s Team Needed
Google’s APAC team wanted to move away from the conventional year-end dinner format. They were looking for something fresh, interactive, and genuinely exciting — an event that would reward their team after a demanding year, encourage cross-departmental mingling, and leave everyone talking about it well into the new year.
The brief was clear: create a high-energy, Vegas-style casino night that felt authentic yet remained approachable for all guests, regardless of whether they’d ever placed a bet. The event needed to be fully managed end to end, from pre-event logistics and décor to on-site coordination and post-event wrap-up, so the internal team could simply turn up and enjoy the evening.

Our Approach — Bringing Vegas to Singapore
With the brief in hand, our creative team got to work designing a concept that would transport guests straight to the Las Vegas strip the moment they walked through the door. We developed a comprehensive event blueprint covering every touchpoint of the guest experience — from the first invitation to the final chip redemption.
The creative concept centred on authenticity. Rather than a surface-level “casino theme” with a few card tables, we committed to building a fully realised casino environment with professional-grade equipment, trained dealers, custom signage, and atmospheric lighting. Every visual element — marquee lights, custom balloon garlands, pinwheel photowalls — was selected to reinforce the high-energy Vegas aesthetic.
Our event planning process included multiple site visits, detailed floor plans to optimise guest flow, and close coordination with specialist vendors for casino equipment, catering, and audio-visual production. We also designed a bespoke chip economy system that would give the games real stakes (and real fun), without any actual gambling.
Execution Highlights — A Night on the Casino Floor
Venue Transformation & Décor
The magic of Casino Night began the moment guests stepped into the venue. Themed decorations, including marquee lights, custom balloon garlands, and pinwheel photowalls, transformed the corporate space into a dazzling casino floor. Warm, atmospheric lighting replaced standard overhead fluorescents, and every corner of the venue was styled to contribute to the immersive experience — from the entrance walkway to the redemption counter.
Our staging team arrived hours before the event to ensure every table was positioned for optimal flow, every light was angled for ambiance, and every decorative element was in place. The result was a venue that genuinely felt like stepping into a high-end Las Vegas casino, right here in Singapore.
Professional Casino Games & Trained Dealers
At the heart of the event were professional casino tables, complete with trained dealers who brought authenticity and excitement to every game. The lineup featured classic casino favourites: blackjack, poker, roulette, and big/small. Each table was staffed by experienced dealers who not only ran the games flawlessly but also coached first-time players, ensuring everyone felt welcome at the table.
Beyond the traditional offerings, we introduced creative themed stations — Horse Racing Derby Dice and Find the Ace — that added playful twists for guests who preferred something lighter. These stations were particularly popular with groups, generating plenty of cheering and friendly rivalry throughout the evening.
The Chip Redemption System
To make the experience even more rewarding, we introduced a chip redemption system where participants exchanged their winnings for curated gifts, ranging from travel organisers to thermal flasks. This gamification layer added genuine stakes to every hand and spin, encouraging friendly competition and ensuring everyone walked away with something to remember the night by. The redemption counter itself became a lively hub of activity, with guests comparing their hauls and strategising their final bets.
Dining & Catering
No corporate event — whether a casino night or a corporate dinner and dance — is complete without exceptional dining. A thoughtfully curated menu offered a mix of sumptuous dishes and refreshing drinks, allowing attendees to refuel between games. The dining setup also served as a perfect backdrop for casual networking and team bonding, fostering connections in a relaxed, celebratory environment away from the buzzing casino floor.
Photo Opportunities & Keepsakes
Moments worth cherishing were captured effortlessly with our photo booth station, complete with fun props and themed backdrops. Guests snapped keepsakes throughout the night — from victory poses at the blackjack table to group shots against the pinwheel photowall. A professional photography service documented the event in stunning detail, capturing every smile, laugh, and game-winning moment for Google’s internal communications and team memories.
Registration & Guest Management
Our pre-event coordination included designing invitations with integrated QR codes and managing RSVPs to ensure a seamless lead-up. On the night itself, our registration team handled check-in efficiently, distributing welcome packs and starting chips so guests could dive straight into the action without delay.
Challenges & How We Overcame Them
Balancing Authenticity with Accessibility
One of the biggest challenges was making the casino experience feel authentic while ensuring it was accessible to guests who had never played casino games before. Our solution was to brief every dealer to double as a coach — explaining rules, offering tips, and keeping the energy encouraging rather than intimidating. We also included the non-traditional game stations (Horse Racing Derby Dice, Find the Ace) as entry points for guests who preferred a gentler introduction to the casino floor.
Venue Logistics & Setup Timeline
Transforming a corporate venue into a convincing casino floor required careful logistics planning. Professional casino tables, lighting rigs, and décor elements all needed to be delivered, assembled, and tested within a tight setup window. Our production team created a detailed load-in schedule with buffer time built in for each phase, ensuring everything was picture-perfect well before the first guest arrived.
Managing Guest Flow Across Multiple Stations
With approximately 200 guests and multiple game stations running simultaneously, managing crowd flow was essential to avoid bottlenecks. We designed the floor plan with clear pathways between zones — gaming area, dining area, photo booth, and redemption counter, and stationed our event crew at strategic points to guide guests and keep the energy distributed evenly throughout the venue.
